JI announces third wave of anti-levy protests across country on Friday

Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan announced a third nationwide phase of sit-in protests against the petroleum levy, demanding its complete abolition. The party says the demonstrations will continue as it seeks talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, following earlier protests and negotiations that have not produced further government contact.
