Gasoline and diesel prices surged sharply in the Brazilian state of Pará in the week of March 8–14, 2026, with diesel S10 rising up to 11.4% following a Petrobras refinery price hike. Consumer protection agency Procon Pará and the ANP conducted inspections of fuel stations in the Belém metropolitan area, fining at least one establishment for abusive pricing.
