Uniper targets e-methanol supply by 2031

German energy company Uniper plans to commission an e-methanol plant in Östersund, Sweden by 2031, aimed to supply fuel primarily for the shipping and chemical sectors. The final investment decision for the 115,000 mt/year plant is expected by 2028 and the project has reached the front-end engineering design phase.
