Solar, so good: Hong Kong’s new landfill-based plant can power 360 homes

Hong Kong has inaugurated a new solar farm built on a restored landfill in Tseung Kwan O, featuring 1,850 solar panels covering 140,000 square feet. Developed by Veolia, Sun Hung Kai Properties, and Citic Pacific with government support, this plant aims to reduce carbon emissions equivalent to planting 20,000 trees annually.
