Formula 1 and the FIA have cancelled the April Grand Prix races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia due to safety concerns stemming from an ongoing Iran war, in which both countries have been struck by Iranian military responses following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran. The cancellations mark a major disruption to the F1 calendar and highlight the regional security crisis. The decision was announced from Shanghai where other race preparations are underway.
