CMAC reports 387,000ha contaminated by Thai explosives
The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) has reported that more than 387,000 hectares of land are contaminated by explosive remnants of war from Thai military attacks during early 2026. The agency cleared nearly 1,500 hectares enabling displaced families to return, highlighting a significant contamination threat along the Cambodia-Thailand border.
