Iran raises minimum wage by more than 60 percent
Iran has approved a minimum wage increase of more than 60%, raising the monthly minimum from 103 million rials to 166 million rials for the coming Persian calendar year. The increase comes as the country faces surging inflation driven by international sanctions and economic disruption linked to the ongoing war. Similar increases were approved for family allowances.
