European Council includes ban on nudification tools in its proposal for amending AI Act

The European Council has proposed an amendment to the EU AI Act that would explicitly ban AI tools used to generate non-consensual sexual and intimate imagery, as well as child sexual abuse material. The new provision strengthens protections against so-called nudification AI applications. This is part of ongoing efforts to regulate harmful AI-generated content in Europe.
