Spain extends Almaraz nuclear plant operations to 2030, delaying closure by three years
Spain has extended the operational life of the Almaraz nuclear power plant until 2030, postponing its planned closure by three years. The decision was welcomed in Extremadura, a region affected by a major blackout in 2025, where the plant provides employment to around 4,000 people.
