Rio de Janeiro's Civil Police are investigating the killing of 61-year-old physician Andréa Marins Dias, who was shot dead inside her car in the Cascadura neighborhood during a police pursuit. Officers from the 9th Military Police Battalion allegedly mistook her vehicle for that of robbery suspects, and three officers have been suspended pending investigation.
