Industrialists and financiers at Alamein forum urge end to raw material exports and ‘African scale penalty’

Business leaders and political figures at the Alamein Africa Forum called for African economies to process more raw materials domestically and strengthen regional industrialization. Aliko Dangote argued that raw-material exports and fragmented regulations undermine the continent’s ability to compete at scale.
