Polícia prende homem por invadir casa e tentar matar ex-mulher no RJ

Police in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro, arrested 39-year-old Renan Guimarães de Souza Augusto for the attempted femicide of his ex-partner, whom he attacked by entering her home through a kitchen window and attempting to strangle her. The victim fought back with a clothes iron, causing the suspect to flee before being apprehended at his workplace in Barra da Tijuca. The suspect admitted he was preparing to flee at the time of his arrest.
