The Paraná Public Ministry charged Jhonathan Reynaldo dos Santos with attempted femicide, attempted rape, and obstruction of justice for attacking hotel receptionist Maria Niuzete Batista in Curitiba. The charge differs from the Civil Police's conclusion of attempted homicide. The suspect has been in preventive detention since the March 7 attack.
