The interim government and opposition in Venezuela have started a US-mediated dialogue in Caracas to facilitate a political transition and new elections, following the US-led capture of President Nicolás Maduro. The negotiation aims to reform key institutions and restore political rights under US involvement, though prominent opposition leader María Corina Machado is excluded.
