Sasha-Jay Davies, a 19-year-old from Wales, has been a victim of catfishing for nearly four years, with her stolen photos used to build false relationships with men and women online, accumulating 81,000 TikTok and 22,000 Instagram followers. The impersonation included fabricated documents about her late father's illness and republished racist content, causing significant psychological distress and fear in her daily life. The case is under investigation by South Wales Police.
