Navy ramps up security presence in Mazatlán after high July homicide count

The Mexican Navy has increased its security deployment in Mazatlán after the city recorded the highest monthly homicide rate of the year in July. Over 1,700 Navy personnel have been sent to the Sinaloa port and resort city to restore safety and security.
