People ‘panicking’ as Ghana passes sweeping law criminalising LGBTQ+ activity
Ghana’s parliament has passed a new law criminalising LGBTQ+ activities, causing fear among the community over loss of homes, jobs, and healthcare access. The bill, awaiting the president’s ratification, includes prison sentences of three to ten years for promotion of LGBTQ+ identities.
